A & B Courier Service Ltd. is committed to being a niche player in the medical transportation industry. We excel with distinction in client care, service and public relations. We have been in business since 1980 and have several years experience in the transportation of cord blood.
We maintain an excellent business relationship with laboratories in the Greater Toronto Area and act as the local courier for a cord blood laboratory in Vancouver, British Columbia. We maintain a high degree of professional, personalized service for our clients.
Availability
A & B Courier operates 365 days a year for transportation of cord blood by calling our Toll Free number. Our office hours are 7am to 6:45pm Monday through Friday. After hours calls are forwarded to an answering service which transmits all calls via e-mail as of 7am. Calls received on weekends and holidays are immediately dispatched to an on call staff member.
Dispatch Process and Fleet Background
A & B Fleet is in excess of 100 vehicles which are equipped with global positioning system tracking devices. Our drivers use mobile data units for receiving accurate dispatch information and updating deliveries with real time data and proof of delivery information.
Transportation Mandate
All deliveries are made in a manner compliant with the temperature and time-sensitive nature of cord blood deliveries. Greater Toronto Area pickups are delivered within 1½ hours of the order being scheduled. Pickups originating outside the Greater Toronto Area are coordinated based on distance and time-of-day. Areas requiring air transportation are arranged on a next-flight-out basis.
Rates and Payment Terms
Our rates are determined on a case by case basis dependent on distance and mode of transportation. All deliveries are done using our Direct Drive service.
Method of payment for cord blood delivery is by credit card. Credit cards are not charged until such time as the service has been rendered.
